Adult ADHD assessment
We offer holistic ADHD assessments. These 90 minute assessments cover a full bio-psychosocial history together with collateral information from friends and family.
You will receive a report confirming the diagnosis, a treatment plan and initial prescription (if medication is required).

Adult Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
We offer in-person ASD assessments lasting 2.5 hours. This allows for a thorough review of a patients clinical presentation and history.
The assessment also uses a developmental questionnaire for a close family member to complete (if possible) and a structured clinical assessment, prior to the review.

General psychiatric assessment
A general assessment covering a range of mental health areas for adults. This includes depression, anxiety, psychosis, complex PTSD, PTSD, bipolar and personality disorders (but excludes ADHD and ASD). The assessment includes an in-depth review of symptoms, diagnosis and treatment pathways including medication.

Combined ADHD & ASD assessment
This assessment offers a comprehensive diagnostic review of both ADHD & ASD in adults. This is relevant for patients that believe they display symptoms suggestive of both conditions. Consultations are conducted in-person, last 3 hours and include a full report and treatment plan.

ADHD medication titration appointment
A 15 minute consultation to check on the progress of ADHD medication titration. BP, Pulse and weight need to be provided at each review. Repeat prescription included.

ADHD transfer of care medication review
We offer a 30 minute assessment for patients who have a previous diagnosis of ADHD who wish to transfer their care to The Somerville Clinic.

Our Clinicians
Dr Catherine Durkin is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead for the Women’s Service Line in the Health & Justice Division at Central & North West London Foundation Trust. Dr Durkin is also one of the joint Presidential Leads for Women and Mental Health at the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
